Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of MomentPing. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What MomentPing does
We provide software that matches event guests with photos of themselves using facial recognition, then delivers personal galleries via email. You upload photos, guests register with a selfie, we handle the matching and delivery.
Your responsibilities
You must:
- Be 18 or older
- Get proper consent from event attendees before using facial recognition on their photos
- Only upload photos you have the right to process
- Inform guests that their selfie will be used for face matching and deleted after the event is archived
- Keep your account credentials secure
You must not:
- Upload photos of people without their knowledge
- Use the service for surveillance or tracking
- Scrape or reverse-engineer our face matching algorithms
- Share your account with others
- Upload illegal content
Consent and legal compliance
You're responsible for getting proper consent to use facial recognition. Laws vary by location:
- Illinois (BIPA): Written consent required before collecting biometric data
- EU/UK (GDPR): Explicit consent required for biometric processing
- California (CCPA): Notice and opt-out rights required
We provide QR code screens that explain face matching to guests, but you're responsible for compliance with local laws.
Payment
Events cost ₱1,999 each. Your first sample event (limited to 10 photos, 5 guests) is free.
How payment works:
- Create an event in your dashboard
- You'll see payment instructions with our GCash, MariBank, and GoTyme Bank account details
- Send ₱1,999 to any of the provided payment options
- Upload a screenshot of your payment confirmation on your event page
- We verify your payment and activate the event (you'll receive an email confirmation)
- Your event is active — start uploading photos and registering guests
Each event includes:
- Up to 500 photos
- Up to 200 guests
- AI face matching
- Email delivery
- 45 days of storage
- Full-resolution downloads for guests
Payment verification: We manually verify payments during business hours (9 AM - 6 PM PHT, Monday-Saturday). If you pay outside these hours, your event will be activated the next business day.
If you need more than 500 photos or 200 guests, contact us for custom pricing.
Refunds
All payments are final. An event is not tied to a specific occasion — you can rename it and use it for any future event. Because of this flexibility, we generally do not offer refunds.
Exceptions: We may consider a refund on a case-by-case basis only if MomentPing fails due to a confirmed technical issue on our end (server outage, critical bug) that prevents you from using the service. You must contact us within 7 days of the issue with a clear description of the problem.
How to request: Email support@momentping.com with your account email, event name, payment reference number, and the reason for your request. Refund requests are reviewed individually and approval is at our discretion.
What we promise (and don't promise)
We will:
- Do our best to match faces accurately
- Store your photos securely for 45 days
- Delete facial data when the event is archived
- Notify you if there's a data breach
- Email you when your event is approved and activated
We don't promise:
- 100% matching accuracy (face recognition isn't perfect)
- Zero downtime (though we try hard)
- That photos will be recoverable after 45 days (they're automatically deleted)
Limitation of liability: If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that specific event. We're not liable for lost photos, missed events, or consequential damages.
Data retention and deletion
Event photos, guest data, and payment proofs are automatically deleted 45 days after gallery links are sent. Facial recognition data is deleted when the event is archived. There's no way to recover deleted data.
If you want earlier deletion, email privacy@momentping.com within the 45-day window.
Account termination
You can: Request account deletion by emailing support@momentping.com. Your data will be deleted within 7 days of your request.
We can: Suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, upload illegal content, or use the service for harmful purposes. We'll email you first unless it's an emergency.
No refunds for events already processed if we terminate your account.
Intellectual property
You own your photos. We don't claim any rights to them. You grant us a temporary license to process and deliver them, which expires when they're deleted after 45 days.
We own the software. You can't copy, modify, or resell MomentPing. You can't use our name or logo without permission.
Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines. If we can't resolve a dispute informally, you agree to binding arbitration in Quezon City.
You waive your right to join a class action lawsuit against us. Disputes must be brought individually.
Changes to these terms
We can update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll email you 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the changes.
